1. Wonder

Blurb:

August (Auggie) Pullman was born with a facial deformity that prevented him from going to a mainstream school--until now. He's about to start 5th grade at Beecher Prep, and if you've ever been the new kid then you know how hard that can be. The thing is Auggie's just an ordinary kid, with an extraordinary face. But can he convince his new classmates that he's just like them, despite appearances?

Well, now this is a novel that really broke my heart because it made me realise that nowadays kids can be real monsters. Back when I was a little kid, we all got along... Damn, I don't remember seeing anyone getting bullied or anything. It wasn't until my little sister went to school that it really sank down; the world had changed big time.

This novel really puts things in perspective, makes us reflect and see things from another point of view. Auggie is real, is everywhere, is each one of us. We all suffer in some ways--others in a big or small way. He teaches us to be kind even if people around us aren't. He, in a way, made me feel like a cockroach--he always thought the best of people even if they didn't even want to get near him afraid of catching his disease.

I encourage you to pick up a copy, believe me, you won't regret it.

Wonder is a huge novel because it has a lovely message that all of us should always remember: "WHEN GIVEN THE CHOICE BETWEEN BEING RIGHT OR BEING KIND. CHOOSE KIND."
  And remember....

Hope you enjoy it!
