It's about five sisters, whose mother obesses over marrying them off quickly with a wealthy man.
Most of the action centres on the two oldest sisters: the nice and naive Jane, and quick-witted Elizabeth. They go through a lot of ups and downs, mostly Jane, separating her from the oh, so charming Mr Bingley. On the other hand, Elizabeth finds herself hating Mr Darcy (So dark! So cold! So rational!)
Elizabeth and Darcy drive the plot through a combination of their compatibility and their inability to get together, thanks to their mutual low opinions of one another--or at least the belief on the part of each that the other has a low opinion of them.
At first I thought it would be boring since it's a classic, but it didn't stop me from devouring it.
This is definitely my favourite book of all times, I laughed with Austen's sense of humour and was amazed by her incredible talent to write.
For those who have watched the movie, you don't know what you're missing! Go ahead and grab a copy, you won't regret!
At first it may be difficult to read because you might get bored or confused, but I promise it's worth it. It is the most beautiful love story, it isn't cheesy and it's down to earth; besides, many love stories have been inspired by it.
Hope you enjoy it as much as I did, and still do!
